The Cleveland BoyChoir has been "Raising Voices, Changing Lives" for more than 20 years. Founded by Dr. William and Carol Foley in 1991, this program of The Music Settlement works with Cleveland boys from third grade through high school to open doors to the world through music.
In addition to the discipline and music education that come with their regular rehearsals, new worlds are opened when the Cleveland BoyChoir performs. The boys who participate have the opportunity to gain confidence and poise by performing for audiences as diverse as the Greater Cleveland area itself - from television appearances, mayoral inaugurations, White House performances, to singing the National Anthem at Cleveland Cavaliers and Cleveland Indians games.
The Music Settlement and the Cleveland BoyChoir provide camaraderie, discipline and hope for the future, challenging boys to reach their fullest potential by providing life-changing opportunities through music.
Ages Boys ages 10-15 will have the opportunity to learn about the vocal ensemble tradition and focus on American music while meeting other youth from around the Greater Cleveland area. This popular ensemble performs around the city several times per year. Financial Aid and scholarships are available.
Rehearsal Times Mondays, 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays, 4:30 - 6:00 p.m.
